MANDALA is a female-founded street food business serving up the bold, comforting flavours of the Himalayas. Founded in late 2020, the idea behind MANDALA was simple: to shine a light on underrepresented Himalayan cuisines, with a particular focus on Bhutanese and Tibetan food. Today, MANDALA is proud to be the only Bhutanese-led food business operating in the UK.

The name Mandala is traditionally a symbol of wholeness — and that’s exactly the feeling MANDALA aims to leave behind: satisfied bellies, enlightened tastebuds, and a sense of having discovered something new. Rooted in tradition, the food is inspired by Himalayan flavours and techniques, while being thoughtfully adapted for modern, fast-paced settings.

MANDALA specialises in handmade, steamed dumplings, prepared with a range of fillings and flavours. Each dumpling is made by hand, with care and attention to detail, using primarily UK-based produce. The focus is on delivering traditional Himalayan flavours in a way that feels approachable, warming, and deeply satisfying.

Since 2021, MANDALA has cooked at over 300 festivals and events across the UK. Along the way, its award-winning dishes have introduced many people to Himalayan food for the first time, helping to broaden the UK street food scene and celebrate a cuisine that deserves to be better known.
